The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Temple of Dendur in The Sackler Wing

Event Details

Jo Carole and Ronald S. Lauder welcome you to New York City and hope you will join them at a cocktail reception at one of the world’s largest and finest art museums, The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The Museum’s Temple of Dendur, a gift from the government of Egypt to the US, is an ancient sandstone temple dating to around 10 B.C. and the reign of Augustus Caesar. Fronted by a reflecting pool representing the Nile and with an exterior glass wall that blurs the gallery’s boundaries, the Temple is one of New York’s majestic must-sees.

The LGAW is a once every 3 year event – every second counts – so make the after party a must attend event!

In case we overflow at the Gin Mill, some of us can head to their sister bar, Jake’s Dilemma, across 81st  on the same side of Amsterdam. We don’t have a Lauder-only space, but heads will turn when we show up!
