Azim Barodawala is a senior executive with a strong passion for travel, technology, and innovation. He currently serves as the CEO of Volantio Inc., a Y-Combinator backed start-up focusing on transforming the way airlines market and sell their inventory. Prior to joining Volantio, Azim served as Head of Strategy with Jetstar Airways, a ~$4B subsidiary of Qantas Airways, in Melbourne Australia. Azim’s primary focus in this role was executing Jetstar’s Pan-Asia strategy by building local carriers in Japan, Vietnam, and Singapore. Immediately after Wharton, Azim spent 4 years at the Boston Consulting Group, primarily serving clients in the aviation and travel sector. Azim graduated from the Lauder program in 2007, where he completed an MBA, with Honors, in Integrated Strategy and an MA in International Studies, focusing on Latin America and Brazil. He graduated summa cum laude from Duke University, concentrating in Public Policy and International Relations, where he was twice elected Class President. Azim’s passions in life are photography, great food, travel, and aviation – his favorite aircraft is the 747-400, a true classic!
