Director of Manager Due Diligence, Cornerstone Capital
Jennifer Leonard is Director of Manager Due Diligence at Cornerstone Capital Group. In a career spanning microfinance, institutional financial services and impact investing, Jennifer has developed a unique skill-set in working to deploy capital for social and financial returns. Previously, she was vice president of impact investing at The CAPROCK Group, where she co-led the firm’s impact practice and helped clients build customized, impact-mandated portfolios. From 2009-13, she was a Latin America equity research analyst at Morgan Stanley following the telecommunications, media and technology sectors. Prior to that, she launched the initial version of a microfinance equity fund at Women’s World Banking. From 2005-07, Jennifer served as CFO of SKS Microfinance, one of the largest microfinance institutions in India. She began her business career at Merrill Lynch in equity research focused on the US Wireline Telecom Services sector.
Jennifer holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in Economics (Magna Cum Laude) from Boston University. She is a CFA charterholder and a former American India Foundation William J. Clinton Fellow.
