Norm Savoie is a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in New York City. He has been a financial advisor since 2003, beginning his career with Smith Barney. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, Norm had a career in investment banking, working at Salomon Brothers and Morgan Stanley. Norm has also held finance positions in the corporate sector and owned his own restaurant business in Miami Beach, Florida.
Norm is a 1991 graduate of the Wharton School, where he was a fellow of the Joseph H. Lauder Institute of International Management & Business. Norm is very active in Penn/Wharton/Lauder alumni affairs. He serves on the Lauder Advisory Council and is the past Chairman of the Lauder Institute Alumni Association. He is also a past President of Wharton Out4Business, the LGBT alumni organization of the Wharton School. In addition to the M.B.A. and M.A. degrees, Norm holds a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and has earned the CFA® and CFP® designations.
In 2012, Norm founded Mount Vernon Star Scholars, Inc., a not-for-profit mentoring organization designed to help academically-talented students in the Mount Vernon, NY high schools gain admittance to selective US colleges and universities.
