On behalf of your weekend organizing committee, we are excited to invite you to the 2016 Lauder Global Alumni Weekend (LGAW) in New York City! The triennial LGAW is the premier event for the Lauder alumni community to strengthen existing ties, forge new relationships, and celebrate our journey as an alumni community.

Lauder has no doubt given you something special – that key internship, close friendships, or enough travel memories for a lifetime. For us, it gave us our life partner- after meeting in the French track, we had our wedding the day before graduation and spent our honeymoon journeying on Lauder’s Culture Quest (from Vienna to Istanbul). But the benefits of Lauder don’t stop after graduation – whether it’s meeting a classmate while on a business trip in Buenos Aires or helping classmates connect with opportunities at our workplace, the community continues to enrich our lives across alumni years and language tracks.

We attended our first LGAW in 2013 just a few months after graduation, and were blown away by the size, scale, and richness of the Lauder alumni community we had just entered. We were so impressed that we decided to co-chair the 2016 event and set the bar even higher! We’re privileged to have the opportunity to give back to a community that has given us so much.

No matter where you are in the world, don’t miss your chance to connect with your classmates and celebrate with your Lauder alumni family!

With Lauder Love,

It’s been a very big three years.

Harnessing the energy and enthusiasm of the 30th anniversary, the Lauder Institute Alumni Association (LIAA) has exploded with activity.

Alumni have gathered over 20 times on every continent but Antarctica. From professional events in New York City planned by Paul Aris to webcasts on leadership and social impact with over a dozen alums to social gatherings globally spearheaded by Henry Detering to our first LIAA London Forum in September 2015, the Lauder alumni community is stronger than ever!

Over 400 alumni attended these events and interacted with alumni in their cities and while on the road.

And this year, the Lauder Institute demonstrated its support of the alumni base by dedicating annual financial contributions to make these events happen.

There’s more to come.

On behalf of the Lauder Institute Alumni Association, I am thrilled to welcome you to our Weekend celebration.

Thank you so much to Nick, Annie, Daniel, Paul, Emily, and the entire Weekend Committee for building such an impressive event. Thank you to the generous sponsors for making so many special moments possible over the course of this weekend. Finally, thank YOU for being a committed and enthusiastic member of the Lauder alumni community!

I encourage all alumni to come find me during the weekend and discuss how to get even more involved with the Lauder alumni community. The LIAA is on the precipice of a big alumni movement; we’re just getting started; and we hope you will join us!

Dear Lauder Alumni,

The Institute is delighted to partner with the Lauder Institute Alumni Association and support the 5th Lauder Global Alumni Weekend. Thank you to the many volunteers for their amazing dedication and work to create a uniquely Lauder weekend of celebrating, connecting, learning and sharing for the entire Lauder community.

This is a year for celebration. In 2013, we launched the Lauder Institute challenge to raise 20 million dollars to enhance Institute accessibility, innovation and visibility. Thanks to your generosity we reached our goal in record time; and thanks to the Lauder family’s increased match our new target is 30 million dollars.

I also want to salute the Lauder Institute Alumni Association’s success in engaging alumni across industries, geographies and life stages. The Institute is proud to support the volunteer team in the creation of the infrastructure and tools to offer programming and social events across the globe.

I look forward to seeing you in October, and to once again have the opportunity to update you on the Institute, and to hear your feedback and suggestions.
